Elinova Privacy Policy
Elinova is a drink-focused social app built around the Sip Feed, profile pages, photo and video post publishing, and Ice Cube credit interactions. This policy explains how information is handled when you discover community posts, publish your own content, manage a profile, or purchase credits inside the app.
1. Voice and Audio Processing
When you create a video post in Elinova, the app may request microphone access so your recording can include audio. Audio is used to complete the video-posting flow you started, which is necessary to perform our contract with you when you choose to publish that content. We do not use microphone access for background listening or unrelated tracking.
Recorded audio is stored as part of the video post you decide to publish. If you cancel before publishing, temporary recording data is retained only for the active session and then discarded. If you publish the video, the audio remains attached to the post until you delete the post or your account. Deleted published content is removed from active systems within 30 days, with limited backup retention for an additional 30 days for recovery and security purposes.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to operate Elinova as a social product:
- Account and profile data such as your username, profile details, avatar selection, follower and following counts, and post history. We process this data to perform our contract with you by creating and maintaining your profile.
- Community content such as photos, videos, captions, comments, likes, reports, blocks, and post-reward actions. We process this data to provide the core social features you choose to use.
- Purchase and credit records such as Ice Cube balances, purchase restoration status, and transaction references supplied through Apple's in-app purchase flow. We process this data to fulfill purchases and comply with legal obligations related to accounting.
- Usage and recommendation data such as in-app activity signals used to recommend drink content and optimize the experience. We process this data based on our legitimate interest in improving feed relevance and product performance.
- Device and diagnostic data such as crash logs, cache usage, and app-performance information used to maintain service reliability. We process this data based on legitimate interest in service security and debugging.
3. Camera and Photo Access
Elinova requests camera access when you choose to capture photos or record videos for a post. Elinova requests photo-library access when you choose to pick images for a post or update a profile picture. These permissions are optional, feature-specific, and used only after you initiate those actions. The legal basis for this processing is your consent and our performance of the feature flow you selected.
4. Analytics and Recommendations
Elinova uses activity signals to recommend drink content based on your interests and to understand whether feed, profile, and posting flows are working correctly. We use categories of analytics and performance services rather than naming third-party vendors in this policy. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in product quality, recommendation relevance, and abuse prevention.
5. User Content and Community
Because Elinova includes community feed, profile, and publishing features, other users may see the content you choose to post, your profile details, and engagement actions tied to those posts. Reports, blocks, and moderation actions are collected so we can enforce community rules and investigate misuse. The legal basis is contract fulfillment for the community service and legitimate interest in trust and safety.
If you report a post or block a user, we keep the related moderation records for up to 24 months so we can review repeated abuse patterns, respond to user complaints, and maintain community safety. If no enforcement issue remains active, these records may be deleted earlier where operationally appropriate.
6. Payments and Credits
When you buy Ice Cubes, payment card data is handled by Apple through the App Store purchase flow. Elinova receives transaction status, product identifiers, and purchase confirmation details needed to credit your account and restore eligible purchases. The legal basis for this processing is contract fulfillment and legal obligations related to tax, accounting, and fraud prevention.
Purchase records are retained for 7 years to satisfy financial and compliance requirements. Credit balances remain associated with your account until they are used, expire under the applicable terms, or the account is deleted.
7. How We Use Your Information
We use information to operate the Sip Feed, display your profile, let you publish image and video posts, process comments and rewards, restore credit purchases, recommend relevant drink content, investigate reports, prevent abuse, and maintain technical performance. We do not sell your personal information as described in this policy.
8. Data Retention
We keep different categories of information for different periods:
- Unpublished microphone recordings: session only.
- Profile and account data: until account deletion, then removed from active systems within 30 days.
- Published posts, comments, likes, and community records: until you delete them or your account, then removed from active systems within 30 days with limited backup retention for up to 30 additional days.
- Moderation records such as reports and blocks: up to 24 months.
- Purchase and credit transaction records: 7 years.
- Crash logs and operational diagnostics: 90 days.
9. Third-Party Services
We work with categories of service providers that help us operate Elinova, including app-store payment processors, analytics and performance providers, cloud hosting and storage providers, customer-support tooling, and security or fraud-prevention services. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their category of service to us.
10. Your Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information by emailing support@elinova.com with the subject line Privacy Request - Elinova. You may also ask us to review moderation-related records connected to your account. We aim to respond within 30 days of verifying the request and may ask for additional information to confirm identity and protect other users.
11. Children's Privacy
Elinova is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Elinova, contact us at support@elinova.com so we can investigate and remove the information where appropriate.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when product features, legal obligations, or operational practices change. If a change materially affects how your information is handled, we will provide notice in the app or by another appropriate method before the updated policy takes effect.
